Paras Defence Share Price Zoom 10%, Received ₹142 Crore contract from DRDO

Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited has received a ₹142.31 crore order from the Defence Research and Development Organization(DRDO) for developing anti-drone and anti-missile laser technology, the company announced Thursday.

Early in the morning, Paras Defense’s share price increased by 10% reaching ₹1,047.70, after getting a contract from DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation). 

Today, Paras Defense’s stock opened at ₹975.00 and goes up to ₹1,047.70, on the NSE platform. 

However, in these 5 days, Paras Defense stock ranged from approximately ₹881 to ₹957.20. 

According to Anshul Jain and Live Mint, this share dropped by 49% in the last 35 weeks. Anshul Jain said Paras Defense’s share price would rise by ₹1,200, as the defense sector’s stocks are growing with GRSE, Mazagon, Cochin Shipyard, and BDL in demand.

In this official statement, Parace Defence and Space Technologies Limited said, they will make a laser source module along with a system, to control the laser beam. Especially, this would be on mobile platforms for CHESS (Centre for High Energy Systems & Sciences). 

Significantly, this contract is a substantial project for developing a high-power laser system in order to fight drone and missile threats. This company has to Complete the order within 24 hours, according to the filing.

Further, third parties do not have any transactions regarding this local project, and its promoters also do not have any kind of connection to that organization regarding this project. 

Paras Defence Plans According to Sources 

In January, reports mentioned that Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited announced that, they would invest around ₹12,000 crores in Maharashtra’s first optics park. 

Moreover, this contract was signed with the state government during the World Economic Forum in Davos and it will start in 2028 and will extend until 2035 to ensure scalability and adaptability.
