In the year 2024 till Oct, we have seen the most IPOs since 2007, which is 70 of the total number of IPOs. However, In 2007, 100s IPOs were launched issuing amounts of Rs. 34,179 crore making it one of the best years of fundraising. Moreover, after COVID-19 hit, in 2024 for the very second time Mainboard Initial Public offering raised to 1 lakh crore (1,03,000.00) through fundraising.

They have collectively raised about Rs 1.03 lakh crore. In 2007, 100 IPOs raised for Rs 34,179 crore. For the second time in history, the turning point has been achieved where Mainboard’s Initial Public offering has exceeded the mark of Rs 1 lakh crore in fundraising this year.

Even after not getting enough success through fundraising after 2007. Earlier, In 2021 covid times, 63 companies raised over Rs. 1.19 lakh crore through IPOs. Other large IPOs such as Swiggy, NSDL, and NTPC Green Energy, expected that this record is likely to be broken by the end of the year and it was true, they raised to 1.18 lakh crore (1,18,723.17) through fundraising.

Expected to launch an upcoming IPO in 2024, Swiggy Ltd is likely to raise around Rs 11,000 crore. NSDL (Rs 4,500 crore), Asirvad Micro Finance (Rs 1,500 crore), NTPC Green Energy (Rs 10000 crore), One Mobikwik Systems Ltd (Rs 700 crore), Vishal Mega Mart Ltd (Rs 8,000 crore), SK Finance (Rs 2,200 crore), and ACME Solar Holdings Ltd (Rs 3,000 crore) are among the other expected initial public offerings (IPOs) that will likely debut in the capital markets.
