Jio Platforms’ board has approved its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for the upcoming IPO.
The IPO will be a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares (₹10 face value each), and the final issue price will be decided later through the book-building process.
At the AGM, Mukesh Ambani said that just like he carried forward his father Dhirubhai Ambani’s vision, his children Akash, Isha, and Anant will continue the family’s business journey.
He added that they are leading the IPO process of Jio Platforms, and this IPO will help create new opportunities and value in the future.
He also said that Jio’s listing will show the world that India is capable of building very large and powerful global tech companies.
Jio Platforms’ possible stock market listing is expected to be India’s biggest IPO so far. Overall, this makes Jio’s listing one of the most highly valued IPOs in India’s market history.
