Founded in 2015, Cineplex Cinemas Limited is one of the leading entertainment companies in setting up theatres and entering franchise deals for movie screening and distribution. The company generates revenue from the sales of ticket sales, food and beverages, and advertisements at its franchised cinemas. The company runs its franchise business under the name “CONNPLEX”. The company’s portfolio consists of offering various types of movie experiences to all kinds of audiences. Its business mainly operates in mostly in 3 areas, such as Building and developing cinema theatres showing and distributing films (including hosting events), and earning from food and beverage sales, ad revenue, and sharing profits. Moreover, the company uses smart marketing strategies like working with filmmakers and studios to distribute films through theaters and digital platforms. As of November 2024, they have expanded their operations across 7 states in India, and in the upcoming years, they are planning to add over 200 new screens to grow to around 15 states.
