Dhoot Transmission is one of India’s leading electrical and electronics (E&E) companies. It designs, develops, manufactures, and supplies wiring harnesses along with other components such as Electronic sensors and controllers, Switches, Terminals and connectors, Junction boxes, High-voltage interconnection systems, and Data cables.
For medium- to long-term investment, this IPO might be a good fit. Overall, investors should carefully evaluate the company’s fundamentals, strengths, risks, and growth prospects before making any investment decision.
Strengths:
- They are the largest wiring harnesses manufacturer for 2-Wheelers and 3-Wheelers, holding a market share of 41.03% in both and more than 70% in 3W.
- Long-standing relationships with a diverse customer base, diversified products, and a strong business foundation enable sustainable growth.
- In FY26, the company’s revenue grew by 31% to ₹4,525 crore, and Profit also increased by 12% to ₹397 crore.
- The firm is backed by an R&D team and a professional management team with 27 years of experience in the automotive sector.
Weaknesses:Â
- Its revenue depends on the sale of wiring harnesses to two-wheelers and three-wheelers. Lower demand for 2W and 3W, and falling prices of wiring harnesses could negatively affect its sales and profits.
- About 80% of its business derives from its top 10 customers. Loss of any of these customers can adversely impact the business and cash flow.
- Dhoot Transmission does not have long-term commitments with its customers, which may impact the business operations and financials in the long-term.
- The company is exposed to international supply chain distribution. Any changes in the political relationship between India and such countries could delay production and increase costs.
