If an IPO doesn’t get at least 90% of the total subscriptions, the company must cancel the IPO. The company can also choose to cancel it if market conditions are bad, the industry is facing issues, or if there aren’t enough investors.
Conditions of IPO withdrawn:
- The company needs to announce to the public and the media regarding the withdrawn IPO, and all the money of investors should be returned within the time.
- Moreover, a company should inform SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) of the related withdrawn IPO.
- Analyze the reasons for the failure (like pricing, timing, market conditions, or business concerns) and work on improving them if the company plans to refile the IPO later.
