TCS: Acquires 100% Stake in Darshita Southern India Happy Homes Pvt. Ltd. for ₹2250 Cr.

On March 11, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT services company, announced it has bought all the shares of Darshita Southern India Happy Homes Private Limited for ₹2,250 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

The aim behind purchasing the property is to acquire land and a commercial building to establish a new courier center for the company.

It will be a cash transaction, with TCS having the option to finalize the acquisition after two years.

DEV Darshita Southern India Happy Homes Commercial Real Estate Development, based in Southern India, which was founded in September 2004.

The company has not reported any revenue in the past three years because the property is still under construction.

For Q3 FY25, TCS reported a revenue of ₹63,973 crore, marking a 0.4% decline compared to the previous quarter in September.

Moreover, June quarter and last year’s constant currency growth stayed the same and the revenue drop is due to seasonal furloughs and a smaller contribution from the BSNL deal.

However, the deal might improve TCS’s infrastructure, enabling expansion and better services. This investment aligns with TCS’s long-term strategy to strengthen its real estate assets and support its operations.
