Ujin Pharma files DRHP for an IPO

Ujin Pharma IPO date is not announced yet. Ujin Pharma is a book built issue and have plan to raise around ?[.] crores via IPO that comprises fresh issue of ?[.] crores and offer for sale of ?[.] crores, up to 7,282,300 Equity Shares with face value of ?10 each. Ujin Pharma, a leading chemical products supplier, submitted its DRHP to the market regulator SEBI on June 22 with an aim to launch its Initial Public Offering (IPO).

As per the draft papers, the firm intends to raise 1.91 crore equity shares, consisting of a fresh issue of 1.18 crore shares and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 72.82 lakh shares by promoters.

Ujin Pharma is planning to use the proceeds of ?61.7 crore and ?21.6 crore from the fresh issue to invest in its two associate companies, Altra Agro-Chem and Altra Pharma-Chem, making them its subsidiaries. Moreover, a fund of ?25 crore will go towards the debt repayment, and the remaining funds will go to general corporate purposes.

Ujin Pharma is one of the leading distributors and suppliers of a diversified portfolio of solvents, specialty chemicals, acids, monomers, pharmaceutical raw materials, and nutraceuticals.

The firm has over 20 years of experience in the chemical industry and has built a strong relationship with domestic and international suppliers. Its products are mainly used in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, specialty chemical, petrochemical, industrial, and automotive sectors. Moreover, the firm operated its business via warehouses and storage facilities located across Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, and Kandla, Gujarat.

Financially, in FY25, the firm reported a 9.3% increase in revenue to ?1,628.8 crore from ?1,490.9 crore in the previous year, while the profit declined by 10.7% to ?14.3 crore from ?16 crore in the same year.

The book-running lead managers to the Ujin Pharma IPO are SMC Capitals and Marwadi Chandarana Intermediaries Brokers. KFin Technologies Limited is the registrar of the issue.
