Real estate developer Unitech surged 41.86% to Rs 42.70. It topped the gainers in BSE’s A group. The stock surged on filing complaint with the market regulator against some brokers for hammering its shares 51% on 24 October 2008.
Chemicals exporter Godrej Industries soared 18.18% to Rs 72.15, ahead of its Q2 September 2008 result announcement later today. It was the second biggest gainer in ‘A’ group.
Real estate developer Indiabulls Real Estate jumped 15.07% to Rs 111.45. It was the third biggest gainer in ‘A’ group.
Infrastructure constructor Nagarjuna Construction Company flared up 12.59% to Rs 48.75. It was the fourth biggest gainer in ‘A’ group. The company, during market hours today, reported 25.74% rise in net profit to Rs 42.30 crore on a 55.97% increase in sales to Rs 1056.81 crore in Q2 September 2008 over Q2 September 2007.
Oracle Financial Services Software, formerly known as i-flex Solutions, rose 10.26% to Rs 477.35. It was the fifth biggest gainer in ‘A’ group. The company suring market hours on Friday (24 October 2008), reported 20.68% rise in net profit to Rs 111.25 crore on a 17.71% increase in sales to Rs 544.78 crore in Q2 September 2008 over Q1 June 2008.
